Pink is such an interesting color, a combination of white’s purity and red’s passion, with it being more soft and calm when it has a lighter pink hue, and when it presents more bright, it conveys more energy and excitement.
Pink has a playful and romantic spirit and when it’s a hot pink it can be seen as exciting, bold and alarming.
I find pink quite creative and artistic, and when I wear pink I feel quite flirty. It’s such a lively color, and whenever I deal with pink, whether in painting, or cutting pink fabric it makes me feel really good. I’m always drawn to it in a fabric store and it definitely stands out when a store in a mall is shopfitted and branded with some pink.

It’s vivacious and joyful, and choosing it for one of the main colors of KittyKink’s branding colors was a curated and careful choice. Starting any brand takes a lot of research and development, trial and error, and looking at A LOT of other websites and what the industry is doing. I saw plenty of red and black, mostly black, some more black - and very little bright pink paired with the royal presence of purple.

To stand out was important to me. I know that it comes with its challenges - as you’re quite exposed and do not just follow the norm - but that is the exact time of my life right now, and its only the utmost ultimate step of a long road of being a fish that always swam upstream. Following the crowd was never my style, and making- and creating unique projects, some still living online to this day, has been my life. Creating KittyKink aimed to fulfill many different needs - ultimately being supremely unique and individualistic, and having an outlet to showcase that, as well as knowing how sexy garments make you feel absolutely amazing and gives you a deep connection to your feminine sensuality, and that feeling can’t fully be explained until tried and tested.
Pink was a good choice, and made the most sense for how to lead this brand. It’s alive and energetic, and any one in the space of pink can feel its vibration - it’s fully palpable. So the pink used within KittyKink's brand shows up everywhere, from its funky website use, to its packaging, to some fabric choices.
Having pink as a hero color for the brand is a bold, brave choice, but I believe in it fully, and I know that it’ll become synonymous with the tagline of the brand - fusing beauty with kink.
With love,
Kitty
